Meet ANNELIDA’s Experts and Advisors

Annelida is thankful for the following professionals who share their experiences with the team.

Christopher Pelz

Advisor

Christopher Pelz is the founder and President of Whistler Medical Marijuana Corporation – Canada’s first licensed producer of certified organic cannabis. Founded in 2013, WMMC was the ninth Health Canada licensed producer in the country and remains the only LP to have been producing organic certified cannabis from day one.

Mr Pelz and his wife Angela have developed and own a number of private businesses and real estate projects. Chris worked with Intrawest Development Corp for 12 years as a senior project manager.

Born in Toronto but lured out west by the coastal mountains in 1992 – Whistler has been home ever since and always will be. Married with one child Christopher enjoys the outdoors and spends summers in Desolation Sound.

Passionate about “real businesses” that will literally help to improve the earth, Chris looks forward to supporting Annelida in its development and bright future.

Dieter MacPherson

Advisor

Dieter MacPherson is Aurora’s Senior Vice-President, Operations. He oversees each of Aurora’s 11 growing facilities around the world and is currently managing the construction of the 12th, Aurora Sun, which when complete, will be the world’s largest purpose-built cannabis growing facility.

Dieter joined the company in February of 2017, after more than a decade of advocacy work in the cannabis space. Prior to Aurora, Dieter was an advocate for sensible cannabis regulations and campaigned for fair access to medical cannabis, while working in the non-profit cannabis space. Truly committed to expanding cannabis education, policy and procedures in Canada, Dieter helped develop safe and sensible municipal regulations while with the Canadian Association of Medical Cannabis Dispensaries and has been a progressive, public, voice on cannabis policy regulation through numerous speaking engagements.

Dieter also has a strong entrepreneurial background. He founded Canlio LTD, a cannabis tech company that specialized in internal data collection within the cannabis industry that drove sound policy creation, research and development. A landmark company as the first of its kind in Canada, Canlio integrated laboratory-testing services with cannabis dispensaries and their prospective clients.

At Aurora, Dieter is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of processes to increase productivity, while ensuring only the highest quality of cannabis is grown in each of Aurora’s facilities. He has overseen a consistent improvement in crop yields and overall production, while also playing a key role in facility design and workflow at all of Aurora’s operations.

Dieter lives in Edmonton with his wife Danielle and daughter Emma, where he enjoys spending time with their two cats and dog Bowser.
