Sampling & Monitoring

  • Soil

    • Each location will be sampled a total of 2x each year at a depth of 0-8in; once in early April & once after harvest. Approximately 3 cups of soil is required to complete the 3 soil tests: SoilScan, coliforms and soil protein index.
  • Tissue

    • Each trial will be sampled a total of 5x each season; 2x during vegetative growth + 3x during reproductive growth. Achieve agronomists will work with Dr. Karthi to determine the proper crop staging to collect these samples that will provide the most useful information.
  • Monitoring

    • The Achieve Land & Crop Sciences team will collect weekly visual documentation as part of their scouting program. Photos will be uploaded to the Farm at Hand app for record keeping purposes. A formal Trial Documentation & Reporting form will be filled out at bi-weekly visits to collect more in-depth information.
